Hats off to the latest graduates of our Maintenance Apprentice Program! 🎓 After two years, 4,000 hours of on-the-job training and 47 hours of technical training in partnership with ECPI University, the latest cohort has successfully completed the program, earning an Industrial Maintenance Certification and promotion to Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. We’re kicking things off with an employee spotlight - Meet Israel. After moving from Puerto Rico to establish a bilingual church, Israel Ortiz found his way to a career at Volvo Cars. Over 300 of our Canadian and U.S. dealers came to Charleston this week for the 2024 Volvo Retailer Conference. After kicking things off at the plant, retailers had an opportunity experience the #VolvoEX90 on the streets of the Lowcountry and our team was there to see them off!

Meet Jeff! 🌍 He began his Volvo journey as an Equipment Engineer in the Paint Shop at the Charleston Plant. In October 2022, Jeff and his wife moved to Gothenburg, Sweden for an international assignment to work with battery technologies for our next generation of vehicles. Since then, he has had an opportunity to return to Paint as manager of the local manufacturing engineering team at the Torslanda Plant! Jeff and his wife have loved their experience working at Volvo Cars in Sweden so much that they've decided to extend their stay until December 2025. The opportunities at Volvo Cars are endless! #lifeatvolvocars
