✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT! ✨ This month, our Employee Spotlight shines on Logan Moss! Logan is one of our professional Production Supervisors and is a native to Huntsville. Logan attended Calhoun Community College and the Savannah College of Art & Design, where he studied Graphic Design. His experience in production has granted him the opportunity to tour with several renowned performers, including Luke Bryan! As well as that, he has also worked in production on multiple movie sets - his favorite being Iron Man 3. In 2004, after the fast-paced life on the road, Logan returned home to the Rocket City, where he began working in operations and production at the #VBChsv. In 2023, Logan became a full-time Production Technician, and shortly after accepted a promotion to Production Supervisor. When asked his favorite thing about the VBC, Logan responded, "It really feels like home here. I love coming to work every day and getting to be involved in so many projects!" Logan continued, "I remember rigging for my first ever concert in the Propst Arena. It's funny to think about some people sitting at a desk all day, when a lot of days that's my office." Outside of being a rockstar at the VBC, Logan still enjoys spending quality time with his two sons, three cats, and his dog. 🐾 As well as that, he is still creating works of art through drawing and painting and enjoys tending to the growth of his Japanese Maple trees. 🌲 Byron Clanton, VBC Director of Facilities, nominated Logan for this spotlight because of his positive attitude and certification to provide rigging on high streel! _______________________________ Thank you for all that you do, Logan! We're glad to have you on the #VBChsv team!

✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨ This month, our Employee Spotlight shines on Will Olson! Will is a Huntsville native, and a 2011 graduate of Lee High School. Immediately after graduating high school, he began attending classes at Drake State Community & Technical College and started his profession as an electrician! Will is recognized as a Master Electrician with the state of Alabama, obtaining over 10,000 hours of training experience before becoming certified. Prior to joining the #VBChsv team in the Spring of 2023, he worked as an Electrical Inspector with the City of Huntsville, where he earned over 20 certifications. Additionally, he is currently enrolled in HVAC school at NARS Academy! When asked his favorite thing about the VBC, Will responded, "It's really cool getting to work here because I get to experience a lot of things and meet a lot of people from all different walks of life. If I wasn't here, there's a lot of unique things I would be missing out on." Will continued, "For a long time, my favorite memory of the VBC was graduating high school - I remember how excited I was in that moment. Since then, I've gotten to be involved with AUSA Global Force, and I've seen the Black Jacket Symphony play The Beatles' White Album. They're all so different, I can't compare them, and I can't choose just one!" Outside of being a superstar at the VBC, Will enjoys spending time with his wife, Tamara, and his daughter who is coming up on her 2nd birthday. Will comes from a very musical family and has a lot of respect for music and performers of all genres. He often listens to Beethoven while at work because it keeps him calm and focused while he engineers intricate equipment. Byron Clanton, VBC Director of Facilities, affirmed, "Will Olson spearheaded the electrical systems and installation for the new Propst Arena and South Hall video displays. The team efforts guided by Will saved the VBC approximately $250,000." _______________________________________ Thank you for all that you do, Will! We're glad to have you on the #VBChsv team!

✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨ This month, our employee spotlight shines on Lawrence Jones! Lawrence is a Huntsville native and a 1983 graduate of Johnson High School. After graduating high school, he moved to Louisville, KY, where he worked as an Aircraft Fueler. During that time, he fueled many airplanes for memorable guests and even had the opportunity to meet quite a few! The most notable flyers he met included President George Bush and Muhammad Ali. Lawrence later returned home to the Rocket City to be closer to his family. When asked his favorite thing about the VBC, Lawrence stated, "The staff. It really feels like everyone here is very family oriented, and we're all so close." "It's hard to pick a favorite memory because I've never experienced a bad event!" Lawrence continued. It didn't matter if you were a security guard or part of the cleaning crew - she was shaking everyone's hand and thanking them for their work. You don't see that often, and that really made an impact on me." When not at work, Lawrence loves spending his free time with his family. He has a large family, including 8 children, and 8 grandchildren! His youngest are 12 year old twins who keep him busy with their extracurricular sports and hobbies. ________________________ Thank you for all that you do, Lawrence!
