Hier soir, nous avons assisté au dévoilement des finalistes pour le Prix d'Excellence de l'Administration Publique pour lequel nous avons soumis notre projet d'interprétation sur demande virtuelle- Voyce. Un grand merci à l'Institut d'administration publique du Québec pour cette belle reconnaissance. La plupart d'entre nous considèrons comme acquis le fait de pouvoir communiquer avec nos équipes soignantes. Notre CIUSSS dessert la population la plus hétérogène de l'île de Montréal. En effet, 40 % de notre population est composée d'immigrants. Cette population dépend de nous pour des services essentiels et des milliers d'entre eux dépendent sur les services d'interprétation pour communiquer avec leurs équipes de soins. Sans cette interprétation, les patients peuvent être confrontés à un stress important, des traitements inappropriés, des diagnostics erronés et bien plus encore. C'est pourquoi le déploiement de l'interprétation médicale virtuelle sur demande par Voyce a été si important pour nous. L'année dernière, plus de 25 000 appels ont été lancés avec Voyce à travers notre CIUSSS avec un temps de connection de moins de 22 secondes. Non seulement nous avons considérablement amélioré l'accès pour ces patients, mais nous avons également réduit la charge administrative des équipes et diminué les coûts de 75 % par rendez-vous, ce qui se traduit par des économies importantes pour notre réseau. Le Québec accueille plus de la moitié des demandeurs d'asile au Canada démontrant que ce service virtuel a le potentiel d'améliorer l'accès et l'équité pour les patients allophones à travers la province.
