VP Racing Fuels and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta Launch Hurricane Relief Effort & Dedicate World’s Biggest Mad Scientist Bobblehead at IMSA - International Motor Sports Association Petit LeMans
VP Racing Fuels, Inc., the global leader in performance fuels, lubricants, and additives, and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta announced today that they will launch a hurricane relief effort this weekend at the raceway. They will also dedicate the world’s largest Mad Scientist bobblehead and kick off VP Racing’s 2025 50th-anniversary during Petit Le Mans October 9-12 in Braselton, GA.
"VP Racing and its employees want to do their part for the victims of the disastrous Hurricane Helen. We can’t think of a better time than as we dedicate our Mad Scientist 17-foot bobblehead at world-famous Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta during Petit Le Mans,” said Alan Cerwick, President & CEO of VP Racing. “VP’s Mad Scientist has been Makin’ Power since 1975 and has been a part of Michelin Raceway’s storied legacy for many years. There is no better place on earth for the Mad Scientist to call home, and we hope this event will bring greater attention to the need for relief for the victims of this tragic hurricane.”
During the Petit Le Mans racing weekend, VP Racing will accept fans’ donations at its display in the Michelin Raceway Fan Zone. While supplies last, fans will receive a free Mad Scientist Koozie® for each donation. Also, Michelin Raceway will be accepting a variety of relief donations at the information tents throughout the track grounds for immediate distribution.
“Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is heartbroken by the devastation of Hurricane Helene in our region, including right here in Georgia,” said Rick Humphrey, President and General Manager of Michelin Raceway. “We want to do our part to relieve the human burden this storm has had on our community.”
