This week, we've watched renowned marketers engage in a (kind of gross) SPAM eating contest. We've listened to some great (and not-so-great) 80s tunes. And, we're leaving the 2024 GURU Conference with some pretty terrific takeaways on behavioral marketing. 👉 People *think they make decisions logically — but almost every decision, even a business decision, is driven by emotion. (Keep that in mind the next time you write an email!) 👉 People don't honestly know what day it is. So tell them how many days until your event (rather than the date itself). 👉 The average worker gets 120 emails a day — adding humor to your marketing is one of the EASIEST ways to set yourself apart. Recently, I had the chance to catch up with Galen Low over at The Digital Project Manager.
