The oldest hospital in Texarkana, Wadley Regional Medical Center is a Steward Family Hospital with a century-long tradition of providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare. As part of its commitment to provide innovative, quality care, Wadley has pioneered many medical firsts for Texarkana. As the area’s first Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center and the first state-designated Level II Primary Stroke Center, Wadley is the area’s leader in stroke care. Wadley was also the region’s first dual designated Level III Advanced Trauma Center by both the State of Texas and Arkansas. Wadley proudly brought robotic surgery to the area with the first da Vinci Si Surgical System as well as many firsts in equipment and services in the Wadley Breast Health Center for diagnosing breast cancer.

Stevie Ford, RN was awarded a certificate of excellence by UAMS Institute for Digital Health & Innovation (formerly AR Saves) for her timely and appropriate care given to stroke patients in the ER. “Stevie is an asset to our hospital and to the community we serve,” says Christie Waller, Director of ER at Wadley-Hope. “She is committed and passionate about taking care of her patients.” The Stroke Program works with 62 partnering sites throughout Arkansas to provide 24/7 consult coverage and support for Arkansans experiencing strokes. Through the Stroke Program, patients can receive life-saving treatment that improves their outcomes when experiencing stroke. #StrokeCare #ClinicalExcellence
