WAER is a commercial free, listener supported, public media organization licensed to Syracuse University, and is part of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. An NPR member station, WAER serves residents of central and northern New York state from its broadcast studio and administrative offices located on the campus of Syracuse University. WAER’s podcast library includes original content such as Pop Life Podcast, City Limits, Ostrom Avenue Podcast and Newhouse Impact.
