River Region, we need your help! Tie & Doll, Inc., Winn-Dixie, and Action 8 News are supporting the Montgomery Public School Backpack Program with the 10th annual Stuff the Truck Food Drive! Join us at the Winn-Dixie in Sturbridge on Saturday, August 24th from 10AM-2PM to donate non perishable breakfast, lunch and snack items to support children and families in need in Montgomery.

Estee Morrison is the weekend anchor for Action 8 News. She rejoined the WAKA news team in 2022. She began her news career in the production department at WAKA after graduating from Hollins University in Virginia more than 20 years ago. As a reporter she covered politics and court cases around Central Alabama and served in the Governor's press corps from 1999-2011. Estee also established the “Positively Alabama” weekly series highlighting artists, businesses and people making unique contributions throughout our state.
