Excited to be partnering with Synthica Energy to develop a new anaerobic digestion facility in San Antonio, Texas, aimed at converting organic waste into renewable natural gas. The facility will process up to 250,000 tons of industrial organic waste annually, helping to reduce landfill waste and produce renewable energy. “Throughout the pre-construction phase, Archer Western demonstrated capabilities and know-how that allowed Synthica to make some critical design decisions to maximize the value of the project,” said Craig Thompson, Technical Project Director for Synthica Energy. “Their exceptional experience in the water/wastewater sector, and superior foothold in the San Antonio market, made them the ideal partner for us on this project. Our newest tower cranes rise for the Secondary Treatment and Dewatering Project at Sunnyvale Wastewater Treatment Plant (California). This new 66,000-gross-square-foot distribution and transfer center is now complete and ready to go for the Amazon Last Mile Delivery program in Traverse City, Michigan. Walsh Construction, CESO, INC. and Kimley-Horn collaborated with Ambrose Property Group to deliver the distribution center that features 10,000 square feet of associate support space, along with a 56,000-square-foot warehouse and staging space with seven dock positions, two roll up walkout doors and a drive through canopy designed for van staging. https://lnkd.in/gh7VEQ72 #WalshAtWork

Ascension Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village, Illinois has opened its new 36-bed neurosciences unit; occupying the fifth floor of the hospital’s east tower, a 24,000-square-foot addition built by #WalshConstruction. This opening marks the final phase of a three-part, $107 million modernization and expansion project. Earlier phases, completed by Walsh in summer 2023, included the addition of four operating rooms for neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, along with 25 postoperative recovery rooms. The joint venture of #WalshConstruction and Fluor Corporation are progressing on multiple fronts across the CTA Red-Purple Modernization Project in Chicago. Along the Lawrence-to-Bryn Mawr portion, crews are constructing the new, fully accessible Red Line stations at Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn and Bryn Mawr, installations are in full-swing along with the recent delivery of escalators and installation of structural steel for elevators. Recently, the team completed the final structural concrete pour for the current phase of the Red-Purple Bypass portion, using two concrete pumps simultaneously while coordinating with live train traffic. #WalshAtWork
