On 3 July, the "Innovating for a Greener Future" midterm event was filled with insightful discussions and networking opportunities, showcasing groundbreaking work in biopolymers. 🌱 The event started with the topic of "R&D on Biopolyesters in #W2BC", featuring expert speakers from our consortium. A big thank you to our partners Hochschule Kaiserslautern / Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Universidade da Coruña, CITEVE, Propagroup SpA, and Leibniz-Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH for their presentations on the impressive project progress. During the "Biopolymers from R&D to Industry" session, we heard from industry leaders and innovators like Nadia García Bosch from ADBioplastics, Teresa Martins from KOD Bio, Helena Silva from Coltec, and Julio Fierro Fernández from CETIM Technological Centre. 🌟 #Waste2BioComp Consortium Meeting Recap 🌟 On 2 July, the consortium also had the opportunity to visit the Universidade da Coruña facilities! We kicked off at CIFP Ferrolterra, exploring their cutting-edge Additive Manufacturing section and witnessing advanced 3D printing technologies and their applications. 🚀 At CITENI UDC, we delved into the towing tank, which plays a crucial role in understanding fluid dynamics and optimizing marine and industrial designs. We also visited several advanced labs: Polymers 1, 2, and 3, and the PROTERM group lab. Our partners saw innovative materials and learned about the processes driving our project forward. 🧪 The hands-on experience and detailed explanations provided invaluable insights into the cutting-edge research and technological advancements happening at UDC.
