A chrome mine decided to bring about the change required to maximize their water recovery and minimize their mud handling. Watercare Innovations is the market leader in operating, maintaining, and managing underground and surface clarifiers and thickeners, along with the mud and clear water dams associated with this equipment. We are currently working on the design of a 2.8 MGD integrated, solid-liquid separation solution that comprises the Automated H-240 Flocculant Plant, the HRS-120 High-rate Clarifier, a 13 000 gallon mud tank and a 600 lb/min dewatering circuit. The integrated dewatering and silt recovery system is designed for a feed suspended solid load of 35 000 ppm. The dewatering system will compress the mud to less than 25% moisture content through 150 x 5ft plates. Delivery and installation are scheduled in 6 months.
