Preventing youth homelessness is possible, and Waypoint is leading the charge! 🏠 We’re proud to announce that Waypoint has been selected as one of 10 inaugural organizations nationwide to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Family and Youth Services Bureau. This funding will allow us to pilot a groundbreaking project to prevent youth homelessness by identifying 100 at-risk youth and families and providing the support they need to stay housed. The longer a young person is homeless, the harder it is for them to achieve stability. Through our Homeless Youth Prevention Demo Project, we’re working to break this cycle and ensure a brighter future for our youth. Curious to learn more? That's why we’ve put together Home Safety Kits for our incredible staff in the Healthy Families America and Parenting Plus programs. Each kit includes a handy stool, clipboard, hand sanitizer & wipes, a first aid kit, and shoe protectors—everything they need to stay safe on the job.
