Congratulations to our 2024 Na Lei Kukui Nurse Practitioner Residency Program Graduates! On August 16, 2024, we proudly celebrated the achievements of five outstanding Nurse Practitioners—Brooke Gibson, Andrew Kaw, Kelsey Miyasato-Tanioka, Ron “Wes” Ronquillo, and Linh Van. These talented individuals have completed a rigorous year-long residency, honing their skills and deepening their commitment to providing compassionate care to our community. Throughout their residency, they have shown a remarkable dedication to serving the healthcare needs of Waianae and beyond. Our NP Residents spearheaded a quality improvement project focused on increasing colorectal cancer screening rates along the Leeward Coast. This initiative, implemented at WCCHC's main campus and satellite clinics, aimed to enhance early detection and prevention efforts within our community. Additionally, our NP Residents also made a meaningful impact through the Molokai Rural Health Project. In partnership with the Molokai Community Health Center, they delivered backpacks filled with school supplies and dental health kits to the keiki (children) of Molokai. We are excited to see them continue their work as they embark on new roles across our clinics and communities. Join us in congratulating Brooke, Andrew, Kelsey, Wes, and Linh for their incredible accomplishments!
