We are excited to welcome Megan Fedders, NP, as the newest Advanced Practice Clinician in our Emergency Department! Originally from Sanborn, Iowa, Megan now resides in Sioux City. She earned her BSN in 2019 and her MSN in 2023 from Morningside College. With over 5.5 years of nursing experience at Mercy and St. Luke's, as well as travel nursing at UNMC and Sanford, Megan brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. She completed her clinical hours right here in Winnebago during her Family Nurse Practitioner program and is certified through the AANP. In her free time, Megan loves spending time with her family, especially her 2-year-old, and we're thrilled to have her on board! Welcome, Megan!

An effective practice in preventing the spread of germs and illnesses is hand hygiene. Today on Global Hand Washing Day we highlight the importance of this. 💧 1. Wet your hands with running water, and follow with soap. 2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. (Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.) 3. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? (Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.) 4. Rinse your hands well under clean, running water. 5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or an air dryer.
