Where Queer Qreators Come to Thrive

About us

The We Collective is a Black-owned and queer-led social impact agency. Guided by the vision of our founder Mike Mullings-Whitaker, our mission is to strategically advance the "collective we" by creating opportunities that allow all queer individuals, especially those from marginalized communities of color, to thrive. Our mission is actualized through empowering our communal network, leading with creative and innovative approaches, and ensuring that we identify and pursue new opportunities to give back to the LGBTQ+ community. The We Collective values collaboration, and we are committed to fostering connections with leaders that are dedicated to building a brighter future for all.

We’re thrilled to announce that our founder, Mike Mullings-Whitaker, has received a scholarship from Engage for Good. Engage for Good is a leader in fostering corporate engagement to create positive social change, and their endorsement is a significant achievement for us—just six months into our journey! Whew! At The We Collective, we’re dedicated to uplifting queer creators, especially from underrepresented POC communities. As we prepare for #EFG2024, we’re eager to partner with other organizations committed to making a difference. Let’s join forces to support more Queer Qreators like Mike and drive meaningful change together. In the meantime, learn more about the #EFG2024 Conference and visit their website, www.engageforgood.com to explore their initiatives and discover how you too can Engage for Good. A huge thank you to Engage for Good for valuing our mission and helping us empower change-makers worldwide.

Yo- guess what? Engage for Good has honored me with a remarkable opportunity in recognition of my efforts for corporate and social impact, particularly highlighting my role as a development leader with the Capital Pride Alliance and the upcoming World Pride 2025 celebration. These roles underscore my commitment to ensuring safe spaces for all to celebrate their pride, build community, and serve the common good. A huge thank you to Muneer Panjwani, CEO of Engage for Good, and the scholarship committee for their hard work and dedication. This recognition from such a respected organization, coming less than six months after launching my own social impact company, The We Collective is a personal achievement and a testament to what we can accomplish with a supportive and inspiring community around us. The We Collective supports queer creators, particularly those from marginalized POC communities, providing them with the support needed to thrive. I am eager to connect with other community and social impact leaders in just a few weeks at EFG2024! Let's continue to make a difference together. Your support and collaboration mean the world to me and the communities we serve. Thank you, Engage for Good, for seeing the value in our mission and empowering the voices striving to make a difference in the world. I am happy to join your community of changemakers! #EFG2024 #impact #lgbtqleadership #thankyou
