Today in Little Rock, Arkansas, our Climate United team celebrated the launch of the largest solar project in the state's history, made possible in part by the historic funds granted by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This initiative will impact every campus in the University of Arkansas system while uplifting rural communities through economic growth. In a time where programs like these face resistance, it's vital to showcase their tangible benefits—jobs, economic stimulation, and long-term sustainability. The momentum is building, and we’re just getting started! Check out the full story from the event below. https://lnkd.in/g89rjXCZ #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #EconomicGrowth #ClimateAction

Today, Scenic Hill Solar, The University of Arkansas System, and Climate United came together to celebrate our historic $31.8 million investment in Arkansas’s solar future. 🎉☀️ This investment will benefit the entire University of Arkansas system, delivering direct benefits to students and staff while creating millions of dollars of economic benefits for local communities. And to top it off, this will kick off the largest Commercial and Industrial solar project in Arkansas history. Not too bad for the first ever investment to come out of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s National Clean Investment Fund! We were joined by a panel of incredible speakers for this announcement, including - Beth Bafford, Our CEO - Donald Bobbitt, President of the University of Arkansas System - Pascal Caputo, U.S. Governmental Affairs Manager at First Solar - Bill Halter, CEO of Scenic Hill Solar We also had a highly engaged roundtable discussion with national manufacturers and local contractors, including OMCO Solar, Array Technologies, B&K Electric, UA students, and other stakeholders. It was a great moment of conversation and collaboration about how each organization present can work together for the benefit of Arkansas as a whole. A big thank you to everyone who made this historic project possible. We're so excited for what's ahead!

Hot take: influencer partnerships have better ROI than traditional ad campaigns. A few months ago at We Are RALLY, we asked ourselves the question: How can we leverage what the social sciences understand about persuasion to enrich the field of advocacy? One of the seven principles related to persuasion is the importance of leveraging  social currency — the idea that certain individuals or characters (including fictional ones) have a greater influence within specific social identity groups. One of the ways we tap into the power of social currency is our partnerships with social media creators. Social media creators have each built a platform around their passions and interests — and have attracted an audience with similar values. Finding the right influencer takes time — do they align with the brand, message, and values of your client? We’ve had the pleasure of working with creators who have carved out intentional niches and passionate audiences within environmental justice, Indigenous affairs, education reform, domestic violence prevention, and more. Each of these creators has social currency within those spaces. By leveraging these partnerships, we’re able to reach a built-in audience aligned with our client’s brand and speak to them through a voice they are already familiar with. Consistently, RALLY influencer partnerships lead to a 5-15% increase in followers on a clients’ page, double to triple average post engagement, and drive higher than average call to action follow-through. So, why do influencer campaigns often outperform traditional ad campaigns? It all comes back to social currency. If you hear from a voice trusted within your group, you are much more likely to listen to them and take action than if a brand or person you have no connection with asks you to do something. What do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. #persuasion #advocacy

Governor Gavin Newsom officially recognized October 2024 as Youth Justice Action Month in California, thanks to the unwavering efforts of RALLY client, the Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR)! 🎉 In his letter, the Governor spotlights OYCR's role in transforming the state's youth justice system—from prioritizing education for systems-involved youth to launching a Youth Advisory Board led by young people with lived experience, ensuring they have a voice in shaping the policies that directly impact them. As we mark Youth Justice Action Month, we celebrate the progress made and continue the push for a justice system that centers healing and accountability. 💙 Read the Governor’s full letter here: https://lnkd.in/gftnNy2K

Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! 🎉 Today, as we celebrate Native Peoples and honor our histories, cultures, and identities, we want to take a moment to spotlight our “Language and Learning Resource for Non-Indigenous People”. This resource is an initial reference for funders and other philanthropy professionals exploring the intersection of Indigenous Peoples and philanthropy. At Native Americans in Philanthropy, we are actively working to Indigenize the philanthropic process; developing shared understandings through education and communication is part of that effort. We created this resource for those who wish to begin or expand their understanding of Indigenous communities and how they intersect with the philanthropy sector. This resource is not a one-size-fits-all guide to working with Indigenous Peoples, Tribal Nations, or Indigenous-led organizations. Please treat it as an entry point, not a checkbox. Enjoy and share our new resource guide ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eG2SPSqs #IndigenousPeoplesDay #IndigenousPeople #WeAreIndigenous #Native #NativeAmerican #Indigenous #Philanthropy #NativePhilanthropy #Nonprofit #NativeNonprofit #IndianCountry #TribalNations
