WSU Tech unveiled its latest achievement: a $3 million renovation and remodeling of the Automotive City Center. Designed by TESSERE, this state-of-the-art facility is specifically tailored to address the needs of Wichita's automotive industry. It features the Walser Automotive Service Lab, the Kenworth Heavy Truck Lab, and a modern lecture hall for students. In the Walser Automotive Group Service Lab, students will gain invaluable hands-on experience, including participation in the center's alternate fuel program focused on electric and hybrid vehicles. These enhancements will significantly enrich students' early career experiences, equipping them with practical skills and confidence as they enter the workforce. As one WSU Tech student put it, this new facility serves as a bridge between theory and real-world application—a place not just for learning, but for growth and opportunity. Last week, Wichita State University celebrated the groundbreaking of the Softball Team Operations Facility at Wilkins Stadium. Designed by TESSERE, this cutting-edge 12,000-square-foot facility will significantly enhance the daily experience of our student-athletes. The facility will feature new offices, a training room, nutrition support, laundry facilities, and dedicated locker rooms for student-athletes, coaches, and staff, fostering an environment focused on player development. Additionally, the indoor space will include a full infield, nets for batting cages, ample storage, and a tech area for analyzing video replays of practices and games. This addition will empower WSU to host national and external events, further elevating the programs capabilities. 🎉 This past month, TESSERE had the pleasure of attending the groundbreaking of Ditch Witch's new product finishing facility in Perry, Oklahoma!   This major expansion will add 170,000 sq. ft. and 100 new jobs, showcasing Ditch Witch’s continued impact on local and state growth. This cutting-edge 245,000 SF, two-story facility is set to transform Veteran care in the Raleigh area, offering expanded primary care and behavioral health services. With state-of-the-art technology and major departments like radiology, pharmacy, endoscopy and psychosocial rehabilitation, this clinic is poised to serve nearly 25,000 Veterans annually once operational. 🏥 Currently under construction, we’re on track for completion in early 2025.
