Work From Home Wednesday With... Emma🤎⁠ ⁠ "Today I took my work on the road. We’ve been visiting family in Arkansas and it’s been such a fun change of pace. We started the morning by playing with the family dogs before making coffee and going on a walk with my sister. ⁠ ⁠ After a few hours of work and marketing huddle, I got to visit my newborn nieces and meet them for the first time! After a few hours of baby snuggles, we made some dinner at home and ended the night by playing outside!”⁠ ⁠ Does this sound like the perfect day or what?! It’s another sad day for the Amenable team as Hyemin steps back to focus her attention on her role as a counselor. Before she was our Content Strategist, Hyemin freelanced with us over the past couple years, and we were immediately taken with her no-nonsense focus on direct, clear communication. Once she officially joined the team earlier this year, we appreciated the way she thoughtfully integrated concepts from her experience as a counselor. Recently, her counseling work has required more of her time and energy, so she’s made the decision to move on from Amenable work. We’re sad, but don’t worry though! You’ll still see her work from time to time, as she steps in for occasional emails and blog posts. We’re grateful for everything she has brought to her work here!

🌟 Exciting updates from our collaboration with Luma Counseling! Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting their wireframes, and I’m excited to help them enhance their already beautiful website. While it looks great, it hasn’t been fully optimized for SEO or eligible for Google Ads for nonprofits. Today is Brice's third anniversary working at Amenable! Woot! Woot!!! We're so grateful for the way he maximizes the talents of our team, shapes projects, sets creative vision, challenges ideas, pushes us to think holistically, and creates fun!

There are dozens of organizations competing for attention in the space of high-capacity giving, so our main objective was to help Flourish Fund stand out. Flourish Fund is an ambitious project, so we wanted their brand to subvert expectations. We did that by rejecting the solemn color palettes typically seen in the finance and philanthropy industries in favor of a bold color palette to emphasize the vibrant, hopeful nature of their work. We paired a palette of blue-greens with splashes of bright yellow to communicate innovation and trustworthiness, and we chose confident typography intended to inspire and engage new visitors to their website.
