The holidays are fast approaching, and at RightHand we’re starting this season with gratitude. When we moved into our new offices earlier this year, people showed up for us in an incredible way. Our open house was full of clients, team members, collaborators, even new neighbors—all to help us celebrate our new chapter. That evening reminded us of just how much we care about the people we engage with every day, and how those relationships are at the heart of who we are at RightHand. Thank you to the people who’ve invited us to be a part of your community. We look forward to building with you for the rest of 2024 and beyond.

From Eric Eicher, co-founder and president of RightHand: How do you define "professional development?" Most of us define it as what we do to help ourselves improve our craft and skills. But as I was thinking about RightHand’s upcoming seventh anniversary in January 2025, I thought about the team of professionals who’ve helped our profession develop–four experts whose experience and insights have fueled our own growth and progress. This group of four– Aaron P. Smith, Karen Young, Kiahna Davis, and Matthew Hatoway–have provided everything from legal services and tax strategy to insurance protection and financial guidance. Their business cards list their jobs as Legal, Finance, Insurance, or Taxes, but their greatest impact is driving us toward rethinking how we operate as an agency. Those discussions pushed us to think about how the decisions we make in the present set us up to kick ass in the future. They didn’t make assumptions, instead they made us talk about our “whys” and who we want to be, both today and five years from now. This team has helped build RightHand in all areas of business with trust, transparency, and honesty. And we’re grateful for how they shape our financial foundation, and how they help us invest in our people, process, and work. Most importantly, though, this team has shown me that time truly is money. Everything we do at RightHand has a purpose beyond us: we want to elevate our clients and guide them toward success. Aaron, Karen, Kiahna, and Matt do that for us, and because of them, I’ve expanded my own definition of professional development.

Our team might be small, but our client services director is mighty. Courtney Boggs leads RightHand's delivery teams and helps foster strong relationships with our clients and partners. And she's much more than that: Courtney is the hub of our team, our fount of knowledge, our people expert. We asked a few questions to help you get to know her: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? • I bridge the gap between our clients and our creative team, helping our clients execute their marketing strategies. It’s my job to make sure we're delivering in a way that helps build lasting relationships and trust. Basically, we want to make our clients look good! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱? • This agency is different. We pride ourselves on leading with empathy, and that extends well beyond the work we do for our clients. We're a fun group of super-talented creatives, and that makes the day-to-day grind more enjoyable. 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁. • I have a few standouts, but I tend to favor the projects where our team plays a role in every phase - from strategic planning and ideation to creation.  𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼-𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰? • Depends on the day... but when I'm not listening to music, I'm taking in Audible books. Want to learn more about the RightHand team? Stay tuned for more opportunities to meet us!

This past week, Special Olympics Indiana launched a campaign to recruit coaches for their year-round sports programs and events. Special Olympics coaches donate their talent, time, and compassion to athletes and their families, and receive ongoing training and networking opportunities. The RightHand team collaborated with Special Olympics Indiana to bring this campaign to life: from audience research and content strategy to video strategy and production, we helped them tell the stories of joy and support they give to athletes in 81 Indiana counties. And with our PR and media partner Ferguson, we built a digital promotions plan that reaches its target audiences across channels. One of our favorite parts of the Olympics was the creativity of the advertisers: it's no small feat to weave brand stories into the biggest sporting event in the world. But not every brand succeeded. Google Gemini wanted to show the human side of AI, telling the story of a dad who wants to help his daughter connect with her hero. But the ad missed the mark: instead of showing how AI can help writers arrange their thoughts, it came off as outsourcing a human connection to a machine. Viewers agreed, and Google pulled the ad. What do you think? If you could redo this ad, what would you change? https://lnkd.in/gRAeTewQ
