We are honored to announce Elizabeth Erckmann Hoemeke as the recipient of the 2024 Ed Steinike CIO Award, a prestigious recognition given to technology leaders who exemplify exceptional leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to philanthropy. Elizabeth brings over 20 years of experience in Product Development and IT and currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at One Inc., where she leads the company’s global IT strategy with a focus on innovation, transformation, and security. Her leadership spans cloud services, infrastructure, and product development, ensuring cutting-edge solutions for the organization. Before joining One Inc., Elizabeth held the role of Senior Vice President at U.S. Bank, where she managed a global team of over 300 associates. Elizabeth’s background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and she remains deeply committed to the community through her involvement in Leadership Atlanta and various non-profits. Announcing the finalists for the 2024 Ed Steinike Award! The Ed Steinike Award honors a tech industry colleague who led with great care and became a mentor to many. This year’s finalists are individuals who have demonstrated exceptional abilities in leadership, commitment to philanthropy, and are often characterized as digital strategists, innovative outliers, business solutionists, change agents, gap minders, conductors, simplifiers, policy makers, business energizers, digital guardians, and intrapreneurs. The 2024 Ed Steinike Award Winner will be announced during Tee IT Up on October 21st at Château Élan Golf Club. Finalist- Marcia Calleja - Matsko Marcia Calleja-Matsko is the Chief Information Officer at OneDigital, where she oversees all IT functions and drives the strategic planning and execution of the company’s technology services. With over 30 years of experience, she leads a dynamic team committed to advancing OneDigital’s industry-leading technology platform. Her leadership plays a critical role in ensuring the organization meets its business objectives efficiently and at scale. Marcia's expertise is instrumental in supporting OneDigital's continued growth in insurance, financial services, and HR consulting. Finalist-Walt Carter Walt is an accomplished technology leader with over 25 years of experience and currently serves as President of THG Advisors. Previously, he was the Chief Digital Officer and CIO at Homestar Financial Corporation, where he helped position the company as a leading residential mortgage lender. His teams have driven significant growth and earned recognition from major outlets like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Walt, named CIO of the Year in 2014, is also the author of the international bestseller *We Can’t Stay Here!*, which focuses on change leadership.
