Weaver Companies recently hosted a 6-week step challenge as part of a company-wide summer wellness initiative. Participants embarked on a virtual journey around the globe while learning facts about cities across different continents. With 138 challengers contributing, we collectively logged an impressive 53 million steps—equivalent to roughly 26,000 miles, surpassing the distance of a single trip around the Earth! To put this achievement into perspective, our efforts helped reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 7,400 tons and saved over 1,200 gallons of gasoline that would have been used if we had driven.   #wellness #walkingchallenge

Weaver Consultants Group is proud to announce that John E Drewnowski III, P.E., has joined our Solid Waste team and will be leading Weaver Consultant Group's newly opened office in Nashville, Tennessee. In this new role, John will be instrumental in broadening our Southeastern regional presence while working with his established client base on projects that include solid waste facility design, permitting, and construction. What matters to our team members matters to us! Earlier this month, we highlighted the academic scholarships the Generosity Program supports, but our commitment extends far beyond that. The program allows Weaver Companies to contribute to causes that are significant to our employees by matching monetary donations, sponsoring events or causes that our employees are involved in, and providing employees’ children the opportunity to apply for extracurricular scholarships. So far in 2024, Weaver has contributed nearly $100,000 to the program and supported over 15 charities, including The American Heart Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and The Wounded Warriors Project. Weaver Companies is proud to be one of the sponsors of the 2024 Federation of New York Solid Waste Conference, which will take place next week in Bolton Landing, NY. The conference will bring together industry professionals to discuss current topics and trends through diverse speakers, serving as a forum for discussion and learning on the most relevant issues faced by solid waste and recycling professionals in New York and nationally. The 2024 program will put a spotlight on responding to climate change.
