Weedmaps is heading to Chicago for the Benzinga's Cannabis Capital Conference on 10/8 and 10/9! Our VP of Revenue, Jackie Gonzalez-Becerra, will be on the main stage for Day 2 on Wednesday 10/9, alongside fellow panelists Kris Walker, Lisa Williams, and Boston Dickerson, and moderator Debra Borchardt. The pre-rolls category is surging, with over $4.1 billion in sales in the past 18 months, now making up 15.9% of the #cannabis market, according to a report by Custom Cones USA and Headset. Demand has skyrocketed, with a record 26 million units sold in June 2024. The growth is largely driven by infused pre-rolls, which account for 44% of the category. This month has already been filled with concerts, grand openings, and kick-off parties 💨 Here’s what we were up to across the country over the last couple of weeks👇 📍 Artesia, California 📍 We celebrated Off The Charts’ grand opening in Artesia with goodies and gift bags for budtenders and helped customers find deals and to follow their favorite brands in-app. 📍 Denver, Colorado 📍 For the start of football season, we were a sponsor for the annual Kickoff Party by All Pro Farms, a #cannabis brand owned by former NFL player Oliver “Bo” Scaife. We were excited to celebrate with the team getting on the Weedmaps platform!  📍 Lansing, Michigan 📍 We had a pop up at Pure Options’ Back 2 School Block Party featuring 2 Chainz. It was a 21+ consumption-friendly event with cannabis vendors, promos, food trucks, games and more. Attendees who stopped by our booths got free airbrushed shirts with custom artwork, and we even gave 2 Chainz his own, along with a Hemper box and other Weedmaps goodies. 📍Tampa, Florida 📍 We sponsored a sesh with Trulieve that was presented by The Wooks of Wall Street. This sesh featured Blunts & Blondes - a local dubstep artist. 📍South Beach, Florida 📍 - We showed up and supported Curaleaf’s monthly yoga class with cannabis advocate and yogi,  Papa Guru. 🧘♂️ 📍New York, New York📍 - We invited some of our retail and brand partners out for a night at Soho House & Co's monthly Play Series event hosted by Groovevolt. We loved connecting with Soho House members and getting the opportunity to invite brands out to enjoy live performances and special gifts. 📍San Bernardino, California 📍 - We posted up at Gray Market, where a Stash & Dash was held by West Coast Cure for the community to join in on. 📍 Oakland, California 📍 We hosted our monthly “Life of the Party” event at the Crybaby venue in Oakland. It headlined Zoe Osama and featured DJ Westcoast, Jay Neal, and surprise appearances from Dru Down and J.Stalin as well. Our vans were also able to be spotted in Illinois, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio, and across California for Retailer Appreciation Day (RAD) Tour stops, and at $uicideboy$ Tour venues in Arizona and California as well. From cannabis celebrations with John Daly, to Budtender Nights with Method Man, Redman and TICAL, we ended August with a bang with events throughout Arizona, Colorado, and Michigan 👇 In Denver, we supported TICAL during their Budtender Night, giving back to the community and budtenders in the industry—right before the Method Man and Redman concert at Red Rocks the next day. In Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, we joined the John Daly Classic golf event presented by HYMAN Cannabis, which was a launch event for their new collaboration with Daly. It was a great day connecting with retail partners, showing up for the community, and meeting the legendary golfer himself. In Arizona, we joined Deep Stories for the first installment of their Pregame series, Backyard BBQ. It was a great day of eating, relaxing and connecting with the industry. All your favorite brands like DIME INDUSTRIES, High Grade USA, MADE, Project Packs, Shango Cannabis, Space Rocks, and Timeless were in attendance, providing samples and good vibes. Here’s a look at what we were up to 👇 🌊 Reggae on the River: We made a splash at one of the oldest reggae festivals in the country, celebrating 35 years of legacy and community in Humboldt, CA. We kept the fun going with Hemper x Weedmaps boxes and floaties, ensuring everyone stayed cool and refreshed. ⛳️ MiCIA Golf Tournament: We made a strong comeback at the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association 2024 Summer Annual Conference and Golf Outing this month! Our sponsorship shined, with the golf hole activation being a hit—we handed out Hemper Boxes, lighters, and other goodies, making a memorable impact on all who participated. 🛼 SK8 with Spherex: We rolled up good vibes at this deodorant drive event in Colorado! It was free for those 21+, and attendees could bring deodorant to donate to The Gathering Place, which offers services to combat poverty. It was a great cause and an even better time!
