Conversations around our mental health shouldn't stop with World Mental Health Day. As an organization, we're committed to continuing the dialogue and breaking the silence around mental health -- year-round. It's an essential first step towards ensuring that both our people and the talent we serve feel safe, empowered, and supported in prioritizing their well-being. A big thank you to Jessica Anderson for her role in helping us #EndTheStigma. #MentalHealthAwareness

Congratulations, Move For Hunger, on an incredibly successful truck pull! Teamwork makes the dream work 💪🏼
The final number is in… (drumroll please) …thanks to your incredible generosity we raised $53K and change at the 3rd Annual Bay Area Truck Pull benefitting Move For Hunger. This is approx. 160,000 meals for those who are food insecure. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated! It was a beautiful day to pull a truck. We could not have done this without our incredible sponsors: NOR-CAL Moving Services, Bristol, EY, KPMG, Ogletree Deakins, Fragomen, Rocket Mortgage, Envoy Global, Erickson Immigration Group, Alexander's Mobility Services, BAL, SuiteAmerica, Weichert Workforce Mobility and everyone else who personally made a donation. Check out this video of our truck pull team. (Credit: Tetiana Dyachok.)

Our days seem to speed by faster than ever as we grapple with competing priorities and levels of stress that are jeopardizing our well-being -- it's no wonder that mental health awareness is so critical right now. But the hard truth is that we're hovering in the era of heightened cost containment, and, rather concerningly, research shows that many employers will rein in mental health and wellness spending next year. Today is World Mental Health Day, the perfect time to reflect on the value of mental health in the workplace and how we can create a supportive environment, especially for those in the global mobility space. 👇🏼 In our latest blog post, our Advisory Leader, Jennifer Connell, explores the short and long-term cost(s) of pulling back mental health support at work and how we, as mobility professionals, play a crucial role in supporting the mental wellness of talent:

Through Constant Change, We Deliver Consistently. It's a philosophy that we take to heart. Because in a world of work that is forever in flux, having a partner committed to helping you stay agile is the best defense against the toughest challenges! For 11 straight years, we've proudly earned the highest net satisfaction scores from relocating employees in Trippel’s Annual Nationwide Relocating Employee Survey. That means: ✌🏼 11 years of setting the bar for transferee satisfaction. ✌🏼 11 years of making faster, smoother, and more productive transitions. ✌🏼 11 years of helping you engage, empower, and retain top talent. ✌🏼 11 years of combining the best service + the best tech to elevate mobility experiences. This feedback, coming directly from mobile talent, speaks volumes in an era of hyper-focus on the employee experience. Year after year, our Counselors, support teams, and supplier partners ensure that your people—your greatest asset—stay happy and engaged wherever work takes them. Now THAT’s consistency! #WeichertProud #LetsMakeWorkHappen

Some good news to close out the week: The port strike, for now, is over. The International Longshoremen’s Association and the U.S. Maritime Alliance have agreed to a tentative deal on wages, extending their existing contract through January 15, 2025, to provide time to negotiate a new contract. This development ensures that ports along the East and Gulf coasts will operate smoothly, providing much-needed stability and reliability for those depending on port operations for their relocations and the shipment of their household goods. Our Weichert Move Network will continue to work with our transportation partners to keep clients apprised of future developments.
