  • 🎉 Congratulations to our latest Critical Care and AORN Periop 101 graduates! 🎓 Periop 101 has been the gold standard in perioperative education since 1999 and is used globally to prepare new RNs for the OR environment. It fully prepares nurses with consistent, current information in the classroom and online, and clinical experience to reinforce what they’ve learned. Individuals who graduated from the Critical Care course went through a grueling 10-week program to prepare them to provide the highest level of care to the most critically ill patients in our facility. 👏 A round of applause on an amazing career milestone!

  • A round of applause to a quartet of nurses who worked tirelessly throughout July to help make one of life's most precious moments, a compassionate and memorable experience. 🍼 Dr. Dana Teagarden was the hospitalist provider with the most vaginal deliveries in July. 👶 Nikia Phillips, CNM, DNP, was the private provider with the most vaginal deliveries in the month. 🐣 Samantha Macome, RN, was the day shift nurse with the most vaginal deliveries. 🍼 Taylor Pasceri, RN, had the most vaginal deliveries during the night shift. Congratulations and thank you to these incredible team members, along with all of the Labor and Delivery staff! We're so appreciative of everything you do!

  • As of September 2023, over 100 million Americans, or nearly a third of the population, don't have access to primary care. This number has almost doubled since 2014! To help combat that problem, Dr. Eileen Yale and Dr. Edlira Maska recently provided an educational lecture to the local community on the importance of primary care and the role of seeing a physician on a regular basis in keeping you healthy. Thank you to our dynamic duo for sharing their expertise on this very important topic!

  • A normal day in March, became anything but, when Hector Florentino started experiencing abnormal chest pains. After losing his father to a heart attack when he was 40, Hector thought he was about to die. After being rushed to Wellington Regional Medical Center by Fire Rescue Engine 28 and Rescue 29, our team saved his life after a STEMI (ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction) alert was initiated. Exactly five months after the attack, Hector returned to the hospital to thank the team of paramedics, doctors, nurses, and staff who provided the life-saving care.
