    Stoics, especially Marcus Aurelius, emphasized not letting the past deprive a person of the present moment. Interestingly, one of the core ideas of the “Intelligent Beauty Method” is also to not let your past dominate your present. It is human to think about the past, cherish the bygone days, and learn from your mistakes. It is also natural to live in the past for some time while you recover from unpleasant memories. However, it is unhealthy to let your present be determined and dominated by your past. We grow and improve with each passing day. Our ideas change, our thought processes evolve, and we are never the same person we were yesterday. Thus, comparing ourselves today with who we were and what we did in the past is quite unfair to us, the people we are surrounded by and our relationships with them. Remember, your past is supposed to be a wise teacher and not some cruel jailer. Everyone, at some point in time, misinterprets situations or misses the chances that they should have taken. It is a universal thing. You gain some. You lose some. But acceptance and acknowledgment are the keys here. Gently embrace your past, give your past self a big hug for growing out of things, and welcome the new you. This is your homecoming.     Why should you drink green smoothies often? Smoothies are generally known for their good taste and hydration benefits. But do you know that consuming green smoothies frequently will place you in an optimum state of health? Green smoothies consist of vegetables and fruits which help remove toxic elements from the body. Here’s my go-to green smoothie recipe! For greens, I like spinach, arugula, beet greens, swiss chard, or collard greens. I use frozen fruits such as pineapples, mangoes, or berries. I also love to add avocado, beets or cooked pumpkin. Sometimes I add almond butter and protein powder for a perfectly completed meal. Then I add a little bit of water, kombucha, or almond milk and blend all ingredients together. I use a high-speed blender, @Vitamix. You can start blending at low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend on high speed for 50-60 seconds or until the green smoothie is smooth! As you can see, green smoothies are easy to make, and you can consume them every day. Green smoothies are healthy, and they fill in for the vitamin needs of your body because 90% of what it's made of are fruits and vegetables. They also help to maintain the immunity level of the body and they fight against diseases. Smoothies contain a high amount of fiber which aids digestion and combats digestion problems such as constipation, indigestion, acidity, and piles. You can consume green smoothies anytime of the day. It would work well as breakfast on days when you need to hurry to work. This could prevent you from eating junk. Other smoothies you can try are strawberry banana smoothie, blueberries kefir smoothie, sweet pea smoothie, tropical spice smoothie, and Almond cherry bomb smoothie.
