For some of us, home symbolizes safety, love, and stability, yet countless children and young adults in Georgia miss out on these essentials. Wellroot Family Services works to change this reality by providing programs that are designed to keep families together whenever possible, provide short-term foster families when necessary, and offer housing and wrap-around support to families and transition-age youth. Help us fulfill our vision of every child being raised in a safe, loving home. Join us in supporting Georgia's children, youth, and families by donating today. Donate now: igfn.us/form/L4M82g

Wow! 🤩 That’s a great-looking group of child advocates! The 2024 Big Voice for Children Awards celebrated the contributions of individuals and organizations that put Georgia’s children first! Congratulations to the this year’s honorees Terri McFadden and Camp Twin Lakes! 🎉🏆 Wellroot is a proud partner of Voices for Georgia's Children, and together, we’re advocating for laws, policies, and initiatives that support children and foster brighter futures. #BigVoice2024 #childadvocate #VoicesForGeorgiasChildren

At Wellroot, our history is deeply rooted in community and care, and one symbol has been with us through it all—the bell. Gifted by Asa G. Candler in the early 1900s, this beloved bell once called children to meals and gatherings at the Methodist Children’s Home. Today, as we continue to support children, youth, and families, the bell stands as a reminder of our enduring mission. It’s not just about where we’ve been, but about the community we are today—collaborating across programs and supporting one another in creating brighter futures. 💙🔔 #DidYouKnow #LifeAtWellroot #Legacy #UMCH

Sharon has been an invaluable part of Wellroot for over a decade and has served as our Community Cultivator since 2019. A lifelong connection to the church has shaped her unique ability to recognize the divine potential in others and connect our faith community with our mission. Support youth in foster care and change lives! Nearly one in five teens who transition out of foster care without the support of a family experience homelessness between the ages of 17 and 19. Your donation through the Fostering Success Tax Credit can help provide housing and the support needed to change these statistics. #SupportGeorgiaYouth #FosteringSuccess #GeorgiaYouth #GiveHome Start the process: https://lnkd.in/g5XdVKMY

Our hearts are truly overwhelmed with gratitude. 💜 In response to The North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church’s call, we joined Hurricane Helene relief efforts to provide vital aid to families in Augusta. With help from Decatur First UMC, Glenn Memorial UMC, St. Paul UMC, and more of our beloved supporters, we delivered diapers, wipes, water, and formula to St. John UMC Augusta, ensuring these essentials reach those most impacted by Hurricane Helene. 🙏 The NGUMC has organized an incredible effort, and with contributions from so many, real, tangible support can reach families facing unimaginable challenges. 🙌Their efforts continue, and we encourage our community to follow their social media pages and stay involved. Every bit of support counts.
