you test drive a tesla and it goes 0-60 in 1 second and its rad, but then the thrill dies and you realize its just crappy car with a big ipad that moves forward quickly. which was my "wasted" hour trying to trick chatgpt into doing something that wasn't just "oh you are a slightly more response search engine". i know it's the advent, but my current chatgpt/midjourney etc experience is pretty crap. and yes, it will take my job but jokes on it because even i don't know what i do so try to decode that ai. oh snap just saw this:

Direct-to-consumer has evolved and grown. The strategy started as a new, digital path forward to eliminate the middleman and reach people where they are. Now that the bridge between brand and customer has been built, it's time to have a deeper conversation around where we go from here. Direct-to-consumer isn't enough to build a brand. It may be a business model, but being direct doesn't mean building connection. Just because we can see your brand standing on its own, doesn't mean we resonate or care. Connect-to-consumer is the model by which even the largest companies are building back loyalty. Connect-to-consumer works because the strategy is grounded in community-building and not follower-building. It's why the old brands are being reborn to younger generations. It’s why Mcdonalds is a mainstay on a road trip. Because memories of childhood and french fries in the backseat are stronger than an Instagram ad for a new coffee company. Connect-to-consumer is just a fancy way of saying this; you know who you’re talking to and what they’re looking for. You understand their mindset from a human perspective. It shouldn’t be that hard. If you’re going to have an amazing brand, you have to focus on people and what they feel. You have to remain unselfish and persistent, ignore self-proclamation, and engage with your customers and audience without pandering or pushing.
