WELLNESS CENTER WEDNESDAY: To celebrate one year since opening our Wellness Center, meet one of our Wellness Center Ambassadors: Andrew Barrett! Andrew is an intern at our outpatient therapy program and runs the grief support group at the Wellness Center.

Grandma Marlene Robinson from Swissvale, Allegheny County is October's Classroom Grandparent of the Month! Grandma Marlene first became a Foster Grandparent while living in Erie, and she decided to continue her service when she moved back to Pittsburgh. She loves working with the babies and toddlers at her Station, Angels' Place. "It [Classroom Grandparents] is a wonderful program," she says. "It gives you an opportunity to be compassionate and watch out for the wellbeing of children, not to mention it keeps you active."

The Wesley Family Services Wellness Center turned 1 year old! 🎉 Last week, we celebrated this milestone with the New Kensington community with over 20 community org tables, delicious snacks, a selfie frame, and a recognition ceremony for our Wellness Center leaders. Here's to many more years of supporting wellness in our community!

Today, Oct. 9, is Ageism Awareness Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness of age discrimination, whether it's in the workforce, housing, or educational institutions.
