Updates

  • WestbergWhite Architecture is proud to announce our recent Affordable Student Housing Project at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA. With our established reputation in architectural design, we aim to create impactful living spaces that meet the evolving housing needs of our communities. The College of the Canyons Student Housing Project consists of 100 apartment units, offering 209 beds across a variety of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom layouts. The building's U-shaped design fosters a welcoming environment with a spacious foreground, seamlessly connecting to the existing campus quads. Key features of the project include a fitness center, study areas, laundry facilities, and landscaped outdoor gathering spaces. At the southwest corner, a circular plaza serves as a gateway, leading to a beautifully designed promenade. The entry lobby, constructed with a mass timber CLT structure, offers exposed wood elements that enhance the warmth of the space and celebrate the sustainability principles of the project, designed to meet Zero Net Energy (ZNE) and LEED Silver-equivalent standards. With affordability and student well-being in mind, this project reflects College of the Canyons' vision for accessible housing that supports academic success. Our team is excited about the future as we continue to bring sustainable residential projects like this to life and showcase our ability to design functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. The College of the Canyons Affordable Student Housing project is a testament to our growing commitment to meet the need for affordable housing in California and throughout the country.
