WREC collaborates with a local contractor to replace an aging boiler system with state-of-the-art Cambridge Air Solutions S-series heaters equipped with BACnet Controls. Here are some pictures from a post-sale walkthrough we did last week. This was a design-build new construction project we partnered with GEM Energy on. Western Reserve Energy Corporation worked with GEM to design a heating and ventilation system that would heat and purge the building if CO2 levels increased due to semi truck activity. The MAUs will automatically modulate heat to satisfy space temperature and air flow to hold a constant building pressure depending on the number of exhaust fans running or overhead doors open. Earlier this month, I visited a brand-new warehouse facility in Grand Rapids with a Cambridge Air Solutions S-Series High Temperature Heating and Ventilating unit installed. I was joined by owners and an installation contractor who were considering an S-Series for their space but have not heard of Cambridge. The potential owners wanted a unit demonstration in a similar application before “pulling the trigger”. The outdoor air temperatures that day prevented us from running the burner, but we were able to experience the discharge velocity in summer ventilation mode. We also reviewed the remote control station to get a grasp of the unit controls which were the two chief concerns. The S-Series passed the test! The owners left excited about an efficient and reliable HTHV heater for their people this heating season. The contractor left with a better understanding of what is required for installation, factory start-up service & technical training, and preventive maintenance.
