It’s important to be aware of pedestrians and to take steps to ensure their safety while working on a roof. Additionally, it’s important to maintain respect around schools and neighborhoods by minimizing noise and disturbances during school hours or early in the morning or late at night. https://lnkd.in/dRAdh4hZ

WESTERN ROOFING MAGAZINE - SAN DIEGO COUNTY ADMINISTRATION CENTER GETS NEW TILE ROOF The San Diego County Administration Center is an important landmark for its community in San Diego, California. Built in 1938 and dedicated that same year by President Franklin Roosevelt, the building now houses many of the offices for the local county government and is also home to several historic works of art by local artists from the 1930s. Due to its location on the waterfront and its beautiful appearance, it has been given the nickname of the Jewel on the Bay by locals. https://lnkd.in/dNGe5-X7

APPLY TODAY TO BECOME A FOUNDATION TRUSTEE! Apply today to become a Trustee of the Davis Memorial Foundation, and help further elevate education in the western roofing industry! The Davis Memorial Foundation, now in its 29th year of supporting higher education, was established in memory of Larry and Mary Davis. Larry was an integral part of the roofing industry for many years, serving on several roofing industry association boards which included the RCA of California and the Western States Roofing Contractors Association. He and his wife Mary perished in a plane crash in 1995 when returning from a committee meeting. Their deaths deeply touched the roofing community. To honor their memory, and acknowledge Larry's invaluable contribution to our industry, the Western States Roofing Contractors Association formalized their charitable endeavors and created the Davis Memorial Foundation. Dedicated to promoting education, the Foundation is a tribute to them. The Davis Memorial Foundation awards annual scholarships to individuals who want to further their education. The Foundation gives priority to students who want to attend a trade school, or get a college or university degree that relates to the construction industry. Since 1997, the Davis Memorial Foundation has now raised over $800,000, awarding more than 180 scholarships. https://lnkd.in/d-BhE5yf
