Since we were founded in 1902, our team members have been the core of our company's culture. Western formed an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) more than 20 years ago so team members could share in the company’s growth and success. With our ESOP, team members serve our customers with even greater dedication and commitment. Happy Employee Ownership Month! ✨

We are continuing to celebrate our outstanding Mortgage Lenders this month. Get to know Kevin Lau! Kevin is a Mortgage and Construction Loan Officer in North Dakota. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐋𝐎? I look for the standard things: the last two years of tax returns and W2s, two pay stubs, and bank statements. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? I volunteer at YMCA Camp for Unglued Summer Camp each year, where I meet amazing people, eat great food, and participate in a transformative experience that is not replicated anywhere in the country. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛? Telling a client they are approved!

We are continuing to celebrate our outstanding Mortgage Lenders this month. Get to know Naceem Pagani! She recently joined Western as a VP/Senior Construction & Mortgage Loan Officer in Arizona. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐋𝐎? A positive attitude! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? Working out! It's fun, and I love everything about it because it's my me time. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛? The people. I am very social and enjoy the people I work with and my customers.

Meet Jackie Chenery, one of our expert mortgage lenders in Arizona. She has over 30 years of experience in the industry! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐋𝐎? Today, most loan applications are completed online or over the phone. While meeting in person is great for establishing that face-to-face rapport, and it is always an option, I find most people are extremely busy and prefer to complete the required tasks at their convenience. Technology has made the loan process much easier in the last few years. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? Outside of work, I'm a family person who loves spending time with loved ones. I'm also a fan of pickleball and hiking, especially when the Arizona heat drops below 100 degrees. October, here we come! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛? Having been in the mortgage industry for over 32 years, my favorite part of my job is using my experience to assist in counseling my customers to make the best choice possible for their individual circumstances.

In honor of National Mortgage Professional Month, we are spotlighting our mortgage loan officers. Get to know Nik Rubicz! Nik is a Mortgage and Construction Loan Officer in Arizona. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐋𝐎? Tax returns, most recent paystubs, and bank statements. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I love seeing live music around the country with friends and family at different venues. I also enjoy disappearing into the wilderness and backpacking for a few days across the U.S. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛? I love helping people get through one of the largest transactions they might participate in in their life. With something so complex and important, it is good to be able to explain in detail the process and what everything means as it relates to financing a home, including all the parts of purchasing the property. I enjoy seeing people comfortable with their decisions.
