Wow, what a night! Yesterday I was recognized as a finalist for WESTMARC's Best of the West, 2024 Emerging Leader Award. While I didn’t win, I sure was honored to be included in this incredible group of finalists and to have my work recognized. Thank you to everyone who has ever supported me on this journey. Especially Michael F. for pushing me and supporting me when I have another idea of how to get involved in the community. It was great to have the support of our mayor, several council members and city staff rooting for me. 🩵

Thursday night I was lucky enough to join my colleagues at the WESTMARC Awards 🏆 Dinner. The Gaucho Security Operations Center (GSOC) was nominated for (and won) the Excellence in Innovation award. The GSOC has been in operation for a little over a year but the work behind the scenes has taken many more. Thank you to the team at WESTMARC for recognizing the work being done at GCC and the people behind it. Our team led by Rachelle Hall, MPA has transformed the cyber security program. Glendale Community College is an example that is now being replicated in community colleges across the state. A big thank you also needs to go out to Drew Nichols and Chad Stroot for their leadership in the GSOC on a daily basis. Thank you to the Town of Wickenburg, WICKENBURG UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT #9 and Litchfield Park City Hall for your confidence in our program. These partnerships are the cornerstone of our success.
