Last week, Weston & Sampson had the opportunity to attend the SC Water Resources Conference in Columbia, SC. This bi-annual event creates an inspiring and innovative space for engineers, scientists, planners, educators, decision makers, and more to gather and learn from one another. Weston & Sampson was present both days in the exhibitor hall and had the opportunity to speak with many old friends as well as make new ones! Weston & Sampson also provided two presentations including “Fripp Island Stormwater Master Plan: Building a Path Towards a More Resilient Stormwater System in a South Carolina Barrier Island Community,” which we co-presented with our teaming partner Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson; as well as our presentation “Dorchester County Greenbelt Master Plan: Crafting Place-Based Policy & Practices for Land Conservation Success,” which we co-presented with our client, Dorchester County Government. Thank you to everyone who attended our sessions and/or stopped by to say hello; we enjoyed seeing you all and look forward to future collaboration! #SCWRC Kim Morganello

Last Friday marked the grand opening of Segment 3 of the Rutland Creek Path! Weston & Sampson was thrilled to lead the project design team, collaborating with the City of Rutland and partnering with Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis Engineering & Surveying, D.P.C. for their structural design services. This essential bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure project significantly enhances connectivity across the city. The new trail segment includes a pedestrian bridge that effectively links two previously constructed sections of the path, providing a seamless route for cyclists and pedestrians. We’re excited to see the positive impact this project will have on the community! #GrandOpening #BicycleInfrastructure #SustainableTransportation
