Women's Health Access Matters reposted this
On Tuesday, I joined a workshop hosted by The White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research and The National Institutes of Health, where leaders from science, policy, and healthcare united to address critical gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. As we approach the one-year mark of this transformative initiative, significant strides are underway—leveraging technologies like CRISPR, AI-powered wearables, and other innovations that hold the power to revolutionize prevention, diagnostics, and personalized care for women and, ultimately, all individuals. While these immense strides are critical, it is important to note that a vast opportunity remains untapped. Investing in women’s health is more than an equity issue—it’s an economic imperative that drives progress across healthcare, benefiting everyone. WHAM is shaping the future of healthcare with innovative strategies that prioritize women’s health. By accelerating pioneering research and investing in breakthrough technologies, we’re unlocking immense potential to improve lives and fuel economic growth for everyone. Thank you to the White House Gender Policy Council, NIH Director’s Office, Office of Women’s Health Research, and all the leaders driving this momentum. Let’s continue amplifying this opportunity!
