  • Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) has embraced the power of innovation by implementing WHIN’s Innovation as a Service (IaaS) platform across 21 of its schools. By utilizing advanced temperature and humidity sensors, TSC is enhancing its operational efficiency and ensuring optimal environments of their refrigerators and freezers. The platform’s dashboard provides real-time data, allowing the schools to monitor critical metrics and address any issues before they escalate into larger problems. Ashley Karshen, RDN, Director of Nutrition Services for TSC, highlighted the impact of these advancements. “WHIN's temperature and humidity sensors and dashboard have helped tremendously in allowing us to be aware of issues and troubleshoot them quickly. Their customer support is fantastic,” she stated. While the IaaS Initiative is aligned with the needs of manufacturers, its benefits extend far beyond the manufacturing sector. IaaS is an ideal solution for any organization facing challenges that can be addressed with the help of sensors and IoT technology, like TSC. We are grateful for this partnership with TSC and look forward to helping more organizations find solutions for their operational pain points! #WHIN #IaaS #TippecanoeCountyIN

  • Introducing Manufacturing Alliance Member: Bio Town Ag, Inc. Bio Town Ag, Inc. is a typical Indiana multigenerational family farm. Through the years they have managed the risks of our family farming business and grown as the economy and livestock market cycles presented opportunities. They have long been good stewards of the land and water. Desiring to build on that tradition, they acquired an anaerobic digester and began converting animal waste into energy, fertilizer and soil. Because optimizing the efficiency of the digester required more organic material than was available on our farm, we began accepting organic by-products from neighboring industries. Today, the business has grown to include the farming operation, as well as one of our nation's leading recyclers of organic by-products. The recycling business is called Back 2 Earth organic material recycling. Back 2 Earth helps many industries, such as food processing and distribution, reduce their organic by-product disposal costs. It also keeps these materials out of landfills and helps these companies meet their sustainability policy objectives. We are proud to have Bio Town Ag, Inc. be a part of our Manufacturing Alliance!
