Florida is now feeling the impact of #HurricaneMilton, arriving all too soon after #HurricaneHelene. As Milton’s early effects reach Florida’s utility grid, we anticipate power outages to increase throughout the night. The Ting Sensor Network provides precise, neighborhood-level power outage data like seen in this animation. The bright flashes indicate grid faults—caused by falling trees, power lines clashing in the wind, and grid equipment failing under intense pressure. The red dots represent homes without power, illustrating the storm's widespread effects. At Whisker Labs, we are committed to keeping communities informed with ongoing power outage updates as the situation develops. Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by the storm.
