Occasionally when we open a service area for connections, small parts of that area may have set backs in the construction process that cause them to be opened a little later. In the Bear Creek 1 area, there was some underground construction that needed to be finished before we could open it for connections. But, today is the day! We are excited to announce that this area is now ready to sign up for fast, reliable, local fiber internet! Signing up is easy! Head to our website to search your address and follow the prompts to select the plan that works best for you. 🥳

"I pay for 1 Gig, how do I make sure I am getting 1 Gig?" GREAT question!! At White River Connect, what you pay for is what you get. That is why we offer a speed, or bandwidth test via our mobile app: CommandIQ. This app is connected DIRECTLY to your router and gives you the most accurate speed test information. To run a speed test on your CommandIQ app: open your app, tap "My Network", select "Bandwidth Test", and choose "Run Test"! If you choose to run your speed test outside of the CommandIQ App, here are a few things to consider: 1. If you are running your speed test from a device that isn't hardwired to the router: you may find that your speeds are slightly lower than your package. That's because the physical distance from your router matters! WiFi signal depletes as it goes through appliances, walls, furniture, etc. If you have anything (distance, walls, furniture, appliances, etc) between you and your router, your speed test on that device will be slower than the actual speed at the router. 2. Bandwidth hogging apps that continuously use data, and multiple devices using your WiFi, can result in a slower speed test at the device. Be sure to disconnect devices and close out of apps that you aren't using! 3. Your device may not be able to receive such high speeds. You read that right! Fiber internet is so fast that some older devices do not have the technology or capability to handle the bandwidth speeds. Some older computers even need to be hardwired as they do not have the capability to connect to WiFi! If you're having trouble with a specific device, be sure to check the bandwidth that it is able to receive! The speed test at your router will always be an accurate portrayal of the speeds you are receiving! If you are not getting the speeds you pay for from the speed test within CommandIQ: it's time for a tech support phone call! Our 24/7 tech support phone number is 855-318-CNCT (2628), option 1.

Since Missouri dove season is in full swing, this is your reminder that it is never a good idea to shoot at birds or other animals that are sitting on the power line. You could potentially damage the power line or fiber cables, costing thousands of dollars in damage and leaving your friends and neighbors without power or internet! #BeCableConscious when hunting around lines this season!

We're building the backbone for our fiber network in the Roark Creek and Lake service areas!
