Whitestone designed and implemented an in-situ soil remediation program employing chemical oxidation to address volatile organic and pesticide contamination beneath a railroad right-of-way in Roselle Park, NJ. An array of 30 angled, temporary injection points were used due to access restrictions, and post-injection data documented compliance with NJDEP’s Soil Remediation Standards. Post-remediation groundwater monitoring is ongoing.

Whitestone conducted relative humidity (RH) testing (which includes installing probes in the floor slab and returning to the site 72 hours later to record RH) at an existing retail store under renovation for a new tenant in Lady Lake, FL. RH must be determined prior to installing luxury vinyl tile directly on the floor slab to confirm the tile will adhere properly to the underlying concrete surface.

Each year, children attend their first day of school without basic educational tools such as backpacks, notebooks and calculators. Whitestone’s Community Involvement & Volunteering focus group collected school supplies for Boys & Girls Clubs local to each of our offices to provide some relief to families preparing for the upcoming school year. We hope our donations further the goal of no children in our communities experiencing the first day of school without such basic necessities.
