I ran into a friend at Fred Meyer last week and she mentioned that she built a free Wix website herself but wasn't getting any traffic to it. She has a local service-based business and is really good at her trade. Here's the advice I gave her, removing the personal details of course. I'm sharing it here in hopes that it can help you as well! =) To my friend: I just checked out your website and you got all the basics down for your space on the Internet but you need to gain some visibility! So lemme give you some quick tips for getting on the map, we're talking about easy marketing here. 1. Pay Wix. It's $17/month and it's worth it to get your own domain name. herbusinessname.com is available and that'll make you more credible, easier to find, and you can take off the Wix banner.  2. Get listed on https://lnkd.in/gqSbz4g and fill out your profile completely. This literally gets you on the map. =) 3. Get listed on Yelp and any other directories in your field. The more relevant links to your website, the better. 4. Create a Facebook page - this is separate from your Facebook profile, and build it out. 5. I see that you're already on Insta and Pinterest, great. Now post stuff every few weeks on social media (and on your Google Business profile).
