WRA’s Regina Herr and Andy Bourne attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Innovation Station North Neighborhood Access project in Fairfax County, Virginia. WRA performed design and environmental services for the project which consists of constructing a 10-foot wide, 1,450-foot-long asphalt shared-use path. The path will include two 14-foot-wide pedestrian bridges over Horsepen Creek and the installation of trail lighting along both the path and bridges. The project will provide a direct pedestrian and bicycle connection from the Innovation Metrorail Station to adjacent neighborhoods significantly reducing trip length to the station. Construction is expected to be completed by Fall of 2025. https://lnkd.in/eQVmkhZE

Our team attended WaterJam last week in Virginia Beach, Virginia. WRA had several speakers present at the joint annual meeting of the Virginia American Water Works Association and the Virginia Water Environment Association. We enjoyed visiting with colleagues at our client social and are proud to be one of 20 firms who earned a Tidy Otter Award for sustainability. Congratulations to Christoper Walther, City of Lynchburg Water Resources, who won WRA’s rain barrel giveaway!
