In⭐ ⭐⭐ WiCyS DFW Leader Spotlight today is for our Executive Event Coordinator Cindy Kishoyian, MSC. who joined the team and further added value to our meetups and member engagement. ⭐ ⭐⭐ Cindy chose Cybersecurity because she's a challenge seeker and has found Cybersecurity to be an ever-changing landscape of challenges. ⭐⭐⭐ Time for another WiCyS DFW Leader Spotlight - We have the honor of having this very supportive Leader Joyce Marube, MSCSIA as our North Dallas Vice-President. ⭐⭐⭐ Joyce decision to serve as a WiCyS DFW leader stems from her passion to give back to community, especially one that uplifts women in the field. Her interest in Cybersecurity was sparked through the security courses she took as an IT Undergrad. After a few years as an IT Professionals, Joyce decided to obtain her M.S. in Cybersecurity. "As a leader, my goal is to empower women in my community by helping them access opportunities and grow in their cybersecurity careers. Whether they’re new to the field or looking to advance into specialized areas, I am dedicated to supporting them. I aim to collaborate with other leaders to organize training sessions, conferences, and networking events that will help our members achieve their professional goals" - Joyce Marube

We want to give our biggest THANK YOU to the Leadership teams and Cybersecurity Experts at Verizon who made possible the Cybersecurity Learning Series. After 6 Virtual Learning Sessions over the course of 6 weeks, we made week 7 about in-person networking and completed the series at the Verizon Corporate Office in Irving, TX! Friday was fantastic, we were able to meet and network with some of Verizon's phenomenal leadership team Blakely Wall, Abby Knowles, Melissa Cardiello, Benjamin Bradberry, and Tade Reen, ask questions, learn about their journeys, and hear an informative presentation from the Cyber Recruitment Team. Additionally, we want to thank our WiCyS Leadership team, our members and everyone who participated in the sessions. We hope you found them informative and that the connections you were able to create lead to new doors. All of the sessions had well over a hundred registered participants making it one of the most successful partnership in our history. And last we want to thank our outstanding organizers Arlyssa M. Jaquez, CISSP and Cindy Kishoyian, MSC. who we were also able to recognize with a Certificate of Appreciation on Friday.
