Coach Juan is our Bilingual Coordinator and Youth Head Coach here at WUFC. As a bilingual coordinator, he bridges the communication gap both on and off the field, ensuring that players and their families are fully supported. His ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish allows him to foster a welcoming environment, making sure each player feels heard and understood. His dedication to their growth extends beyond soccer, empowering them to succeed in all aspects of life. 👏

This past weekend, all Willamette United FC coaches were invited to attend our annual Winter Coaches Meeting, hosted by our Associate Director of Coaching, Conor Peterhans. Coaches were presented with Willamette United's development framework and how a players social, emotional, cognitive and physical development effects their abilities and performance. This sets the foundation of our club and provides a valuable tool to our dedicated coaching staff. 🔍 One key takeaway: "Player development is at the forefront of our mission, coaches must be able to create a player centered, developmentally appropriate learning environment. A learning environment must first take the players' developmental needs as a starting point in order to help them become confident learners." 👥 Networking Highlights: Connecting with other WUFC coaches was a highlight of the event.
