She always strives to do what is best for students and encourages her staff to do the same. She listens and works diligently to find answers and solutions to problems that arise. She has given me confidence that I have lacked in myself and in my teaching for a long time. We are so PROUD of our Willis Junior BassKats! 🎣 Our Jr. Basskats showed incredible determination at the Toledo Tournament! After a successful pre-fish day, they faced unexpected challenges on tournament day, including an early team exit and equipment issues. But their perseverance paid off, with three teams achieving impressive weigh-ins! Results: 🐟 Miller/Oliver – 7th Place, 4.01 lbs 🐟 Brandt/Briscoe – 10th Place, 2.35 lbs 🐟 Adkison/Brown – 13th Place, 1.80 lbs Way to go, Jr. Basskats! A heartfelt thank you to Director of Transportation Frank Gonzalez and Transportation Supervisor Isidro Tabangcura for hosting a surprise ceremony yesterday morning, honoring several of our outstanding bus drivers and monitors! 🚌💛 These dedicated drivers went above and beyond during the recent gas line leak near Lagway Elementary. They volunteered to stay behind after their regular routes to ensure the safe transport of students and staff. Their swift actions and unwavering dedication to our community’s safety fill us with pride! On October 22, Willis High School hosted a sportsmanship assembly for all student-athletes, featuring Stephen Mackey, founder of 2Words Character Development, to discuss The Texas Way.
