Willkie's Private Equity partners in London hosted a breakfast workshop on October 2, 2024, to discuss the hottest topics in private equity and key themes for deal teams. The workshop was hosted by Phil Coletto, Daniel Gendron, Solomon Wifa, and Andy Gray. They focused on the forms, features, and uses of various hybrid capital instruments, trends and planning involved for continuation vehicles, and the points of negotiation in institutional reinvestment.   The seminar is an annual event for junior to mid-level investment professionals.

Willkie recently announced the addition in Paris of Louis-François Guéret as a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services department.  Louis-François' practice focuses on M&A transactions for listed companies, including public offerings, delisting, capital markets transactions and investments in listed and unlisted companies. He has established experience in stock market regulation, corporate governance and reorganization of corporate groups. Claire James, a partner in Willkie’s Corporate & Financial Services Department, has been named to the 2024 Pro Bono Dean’s List by Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) for her commitment to helping those in need gain access to justice. Claire was recognized for her exceptional contributions to the VOLS Incarcerated Mothers Law Project. The project provides high-quality, free family law services to mothers in and recently released from prison and jail in New York State. Members of our Chicago office recently toured the Willkie-sponsored beehive on the rooftop of our office building! The tour also provided an opportunity to learn about pollinators, and collect notes and data on the hive that will be used for nation-wide pollinator research. Willkie is proud to have a small but important role in supporting pollinator populations. We currently sponsor five urban beehives across five offices in the U.S. and U.K.
