This week's epic employee is Tanya, Level 2 Social Worker. Tanya worked hard to make sure over 200 children, with their families, got to experience Thorpe Park. With help from other charities and the Fostering Team, her hard work paid off and they were able to go to the theme park. She worked with Merlin's Magic Wand, who helped supply the theme park tickets and Madlug Foundation, who provided 100 bags for the children and young people. #WeAreWilts

The Meadow Lodge Short Break Service and Riverbank Day Opportunities hosted a summer party to bring the community together and to have some fun. The event began with cream teas following with various activities, including live singing, tombola, raffle, cake sale, face painting, temporary tattoos, games and a visit from the Chippenham Fire Brigade. 60 guests attended the event, including customers, friends, families, carers, members of the local community and other establishments. Thank you to everyone that came along to the annual summer party and for making it a success. #WeAreWilts

In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September), we would like to say thank you to our Economic Development and Public Health colleagues for those working on the new programme that focuses on wellbeing in the workplace. The countywide programme is available for local employers, to provide preventative methods and early interventions to support mental health and wellbeing. #WeAreWilts

Thank you to all our occupational therapists for coming together and celebrating the launch of our occupational therapy rotation this September. Occupational therapists joined the rotation to have the opportunity to work in different settings around the council, to broaden their experience and develop their knowledge and skills. We believe that we are the only council in the country to be hosting its own occupational therapy rotation. We are always innovating to recruit a highly skilled workforce. #WeAreWilts
