We were pleased to participate again this year in the Peacekeeper's Initiative Annual Fallen Soldier's Fundraiser and Poker Run at Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson in Clearwater, FL. Devan S., our Veteran Community Engagement Representative (pictured), and Amanda M., Director of Business Development, came out to support the riders and share our resources with the community.

We invited Ami Gohil, from Mercy Full Project, to our Quarterly Provider Showcase to share information about their mission and to canvas potential foster families or forever families to adopt four beautiful pups. These pups brightened the afternoon for our attendees, staff, and guests, and Ami appreciated that the pups were receiving plenty of positive social interactions. Research from Johns Hopkins shows that not only can dogs help reduce stress and regulate cortisol levels, but through pets, play, and puppy cuddles, we are rewarded with oxytocin, the feel-good chemical.
