We are honored to support "The Underground Library: An Archive of Our Truth," a Black Artist+Designers Guild Lab initiative commissioned by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum for their exhibition "Making Home—Smithsonian Design Triennial," opening TODAY through August 10, 2025. "The Underground Library" is inspired by the Underground Railroad, the clandestine network established in the early 19th century, through which many enslaved African Americans traveled in search of freedom. This library installation represents a 21st-century sanctuary surrounded by art, objects, artifacts, and books of Black legacy.
