About us

Objective: Grow Demand for Wine in the US Marketplace WineRAMP began when four industry analysts sought to answer the question: "Do we have a demand problem?" After two years of discussions, and meetings with more than 80 top executives, the group concluded the industry has a growing issue with demand that needs to be addressed. WineRAMP is actively seeking industry comments and solutions. Background -------- -For more than 20 years the wine industry steadily grew, primarily fueled by the boomer generation. -Industry growth turned negative in 2021 (and had been slowing dramatically in recent years). -Wine trends are falling behind spirits and losing share overall; on premise recovery for wine is slow compared with other alcoholic beverages. -Wine is competitively disadvantaged with younger consumers ages 21 to 44 and consumers of diverse backgrounds. -Losses in wine share are particularly acute in the $11 and under price category but are also slowing significantly between $11 and $14.99.
