Thanks WBTW News13 for shining a light on BEAD 2.0 and the important work happening to enable connectivity everywhere: https://lnkd.in/erwV9HHg "On Wednesday, leaders from six states discussed how remaining funds could be invested to help close the digital divide through partnerships between public and private sectors. Jim Stritzinger, the director of the South Carolina Broadband Office, said when the Palmetto State made its first statewide internet investment in June 2020, more than 300,000 homes and businesses were without broadband. Now, 32,500 homes and businesses are still without broadband. Thursday’s event in Myrtle Beach brought together six state broadband directors to discuss the allocating and use of federal funds, specifically the BEAD program." #broadband #internetforall #connectivity #wireless #digitaldivide

Shaping the future of connectivity, empowering industries, transforming communities - these aren't just words to us, but our mission. An inspiring keynote by our Board member Kelly Lazuka at the New York State Wireless Association "Evolution of the Network" Conference served as a reminder of the path we've traced so far and what lies ahead. Missed it? Catch her full remarks here: https://bit.ly/3Yx1026 Thank you NYSWA for hosting great discussions and inviting WIA CEO Patrick Halley to participate with Kelly Lazuka, Mike Kavanagh and so many other leaders across our industry.

In the past 18 months, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services have proven that they can be competitive with cable and fiber and are the broadband network of choice for millions of consumers and businesses that have options. FWA is no longer just for those households that have no other options – FWA is now the preferred broadband solution for homes and businesses.
